Musical Leadership

Musical Director – Greg Mallett

Born and raised in Toronto, Greg brings a literal lifetime of experience in a cappella and barbershop harmony. He developed his own musical proficiency through elite choral and instrumental programs, more recently refining his understanding of the voice under the tutelage of renowned voice professionals in Toronto. As a barbershopper, he is an accomplished singer and arranger with his quartet, Maple Reserve. He has appeared several times in the BHS International Quartet Semifinals (Top 20 Quartets). This is an accomplishment he is humbled to share with a rare few singers in Ontario barbershop history.

Outside of the chorus, Greg is a high school teacher. Having seen first-hand the impact that community-based arts can have, he strives to bring energetic and positive leadership to TNL in its pursuit of musical excellence. Passionate about personal and ensemble improvement, he is a strong believer in the growth mindset and a relentless pursuit of excellence in every rehearsal and performance. Greg is committed to fostering a musical environment where singers feel supported, challenged, and inspired to bring their best to the ensemble.
